I’m thrilled to share a monumental success achieved by the ISCA this session. We’ve made significant strides in overcoming the challenges posed by the prior authorization process, marking a pivotal shift in our ongoing battle against insurance barriers.
This victory is a testament to the power of our collective efforts. Many of you have questioned the value of your membership, and this achievement is a clear answer. Behind the scenes, our dedicated executive team has worked tirelessly to expand our practice scope, including the addition of dry needling, which took two years of persistent effort.
Our latest win on prior authorization is poised to have an even greater impact, saving time, money, and resources for chiropractors statewide. This success is not just for our members but for every chiropractor in Indiana.
Achieving this milestone required years of strategic relationship-building with legislators and overcoming strong opposition from the insurance lobby. Thanks to a bipartisan majority, Governor Braun signed the bill into law on May 2, 2025, with an effective date of July 1, 2025.
